Khaled Al-Blahedi Okaz/Saudi Gazette AL-KHOBAR — A girl who was allegedly beaten up and tortured by her stepmother and father has been discharged from an Al-Khobar hospital and handed over to her mother after being treated for five days for various injuries and burns, according to a senior Dammam University official. Ibrahim Bin Abdulrahman Al-Khaledi, director of public relations at Dammam University, said the child, identified as Reem, was rushed to the emergency department at King Fahd Hospital in Al-Khobar with bruises on her hands and arms. When doctors examined her they found bruises on different parts of her body and signs of superficial burns on her arms and chest. He said the hospital reported the incident to the police, adding that during her treatment she was fully examined and her condition was stable.
