Khobar: In a rare medical case, a 16-year-old girl has been found here to have a total of 52 teeth. The discovery was made when she visited a dental clinic at one of the hospitals in Al-Khobar. When the dentist examined her teeth he was surprised to find teeth crowded together in the upper and lower jaws. Dr. Sulaiman Muhammad, the dentist who examined the girl, said it was a very peculiar case because the girl was young and her jaws were too small to accommodate all the teeth. He said the girl needs to undergo urgent surgery to extract the extra 20 teeth and fix her jaws properly. He said he asked the medical director to refer the girl to King Fahd Educational Hospital in Al-Khobar where she will undergo the surgery.
