Molouk Y. Ba-Isa Saudi Gazette Little brothers and sisters are so cute and sometimes so annoying. When you want them to sleep, they want to stay awake. When you want them to be quiet so you can watch TV, they start crying. And then there are the times when your parents are busy and they tell you to play with the baby for a while. What can you play with a one year old? So look what we've found to try and make babysitting a lot easier. The single best thing to keep a baby busy for a while is an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Buy second hand one. Some shops sell them cheap. Then put the device into a special baby case from Fisher-Price. Called the Laugh & Learn Apptivity Case, it protects the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad from baby slobber, sticky fingers and babies can even chew on it. The case itself is a toy that babies will be so happy to hold. Then you can download free Fisher-Price learning apps, just right for babies to play, from the App Store. When it's time for bed, then turn on the free Musical NightLight app from BabyTV. The app plays soft music with cute animations. It has sound detection technology that reactivates the music if the baby hasn't fallen asleep or wakes up when the music ends. Right now it's only available for iPhone or iPad, but in about ten days it will be at Google Play. Another way to help a baby sleep is with the Baby Einstein's Sea Dreams Soother. It has an underwater light effect and gently swaying Baby Neptune characters. Relaxing music or ocean sounds lull the baby to sleep. A special Drift Off mode softens the lights and music every ten minutes until the baby sleeps in silence. But be careful. It's so peaceful and relaxing, it could put you to sleep!
