Mishal Al-Otaibi Saudi Gazette RIYADH – A man who has separated from his wife, who works as an anchor for a satellite TV channel, is accusing her of leaving their 16-day-old infant at the door of his house in cold weather shortly after midnight on Friday.The woman allegedly knocked on the door of the house and took off. Her husband was surprised when he opened the door and found his child on the doormat with no one around. The baby was crying loudly and he did not know what to do. He immediately called his wife and told her that he had found their baby at his door. He was shocked when she told him that it was she who put the baby there and ended the phone call, saying: “This is your son and you should take care of him.” He called her family and asked them to talk her into taking the baby and keeping him with her for two days until he can make proper arrangements. Her family convinced her and she took the baby the next day. The man was upset by his wife's actions and carelessness, saying that she is old enough to know what she did was wrong and a complete violation of a mother's obligations toward her child. He said he filed a complaint with the police against his wife in which he accused her of jeopardizing the life of their son.
