JEDDAH – Saudi Arabia gold explorer KEFI Minerals has revealed encouraging drill results from the Jibal Qutman project. KEFI said results from the first ten drill holes, which included gold grades up to 11.67 grams per ton (g/t), support earlier findings from sampling and the drilling operation continues. The highlight drill results include a 7.1 meter intersection grading 5.85 g/t and another 7 meter intersection with 4.29 g/t. Overall the results had intervals with lengths ranging from 1 to 11 meters at gold grades of 1.05 to 11.67 g/t – and silver grades of 1 to 249 g/t. “These are pleasing results from the on-going first phase of diamond drilling at Jibal Qutman,” said managing director Jeff Rayner. “The drill results confirm the results from previous surface sampling and mapping. We are continuing to drill the prospect to 100m and 50m centers and we shall update shareholders when the next lot of drill results are received.” KEFI said it has moved quickly since the Jibal Qutman license was awarded in July and it now has two rigs working 24 hours a day. A total of 21 holes have been drilled so far. Jabal Qutman is one of four licenses that have been awarded to KEFI in Saudi Arabia. The company had applied for a total of 23 licenses in the Kingdom. The remainder are still being processed by the authorities and more awards are expected in the future. – Agencies
