Abdulrahman Al-Ali Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The District Court in the Al-Khobar Governorate Monday again postponed hearing into the case of an Al-Khobar girl who was convinced to embrace Christianity and smuggled out of the country. The case will now be heard on Nov. 17 to allow for eyewitnesses to give their testimonies. The case was filed by the girl's parents against a Saudi national and a 50-year-old Lebanese resident, who allegedly convinced her to embrace Christianity and facilitated her escape out of the Kingdom. The Saudi man and Lebanese resident were working with the girl at the same insurance company. The lawyer said the Control and Investigation Board (CIB) in Dammam received a request Sunday to investigate allegations that the defendants forged paperwork allowing the girl to leave the Kingdom. The lawyer's allegations will be looked into and referred to the CIB, which deals with forgery and corruption cases. If the accusations are proved, the case will be referred to the Board of Grievances.
