JEDDAH — The Ministry of Culture and Information on Monday hosted a reception for media personnel invited to report this year's Haj rituals. Dr. Abdul Aziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Jasser, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information, attended the event. Media delegations from Asia, Africa and the Gulf region spoke about their experiences and thanked the ministry for its efforts to facilitate the Haj coverage this year. They also expressed their admiration for the development projects that have been implemented in the holy sites and in Makkah and Madinah. While praising the excellent facilities provided to the pilgrims as well as the good organization of the annual event, the speakers highlighted the huge human and material resources mobilized by the Saudi authorities to serve the guests of God. In an address on the occasion, Khoja spoke in detail about the expansion plans of the two holy mosques and new projects in the holy sites, the high-tech Jamarat complex, Al-Mashair Train and other projects. — SG/SPA
