The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Mohieddin Khoja, said Thursday that the services and facilities provided to pilgrims enabled them to perform their Haj rituals easily and comfortably. Addressing members of the media who were the ministry's pilgrim-guests who covered this year's Haj, Dr. Khoja stressed the faithfulness of words saying: “We need to respect and honor the role of information. Information has only one message which is to build individuals and nations, and to set the features of a great nation adhering to fundamental principles, believing in dialogue, and calling for peace.” The ceremony held here was attended by Prince Turki Bin Sultan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information for Information Affairs, and Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdullah Al-Jasser. During the ceremony, speeches were also delivered by delegations from Asia, Africa and the Arab world in which the speakers expressed their admiration for the gigantic projects undertaken at the holy sites, notably the expansion of the Holy Mosque of Makkah and the Mashair Train. They also expressed their delight over the high quality of services and facilities provided by the government departments, which they affirmed had enabled pilgrims to perform their Haj rituals with ease and comfort. The guests hailed the initiatives of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to promote dialogue between different faiths as well as among Muslims themselves.
