MANILA — Eugene "Uge" Domingo was ecstatic that her play "Bona" was extended (Last weekend). It came as no surprise to Uge's legions of fans because, as expected, she never failed to deliver. I'm pretty sure there would be a repeat. It's quite a feat considering that Pinoys are more drawn to the movies than to theater. Even if Uge has achieved commercial success on the big screen, she took time out to go back to her roots. No wonder the theater world loves her in return. As she pays it forward, Uge hasn't forgotten to look back, shed told Daily Inquirer. What did Nora Aunor, the original Bona, say to you after she watched your portrayal? Ms Nora watched twice. She said she even enjoyed it more the second time. I wanted her to have fun and to like it—and she did! Stars like her have been entertaining the country for so many decades, it's but right for her to be entertained this time. I am glad to have had that opportunity on the PETA stage via “Bona” in the contemporary setting. The whole experience was surreal with Ms Nora in the audience. My whole theatrical experience this time was amazing and unforgettable. It would be a dream-come-true to do a comedy film with her. — Agencies
