DHAHRAN — A Saudi youth asked two saleswomen at the Dhahran Complex to beautify his face. The saleswomen baffled at the strange request refused to do so and requested the youth to leave the store, a local newspaper reported. However, the youth persisted and made a threat if they did not comply with his request. One of the saleswoman raised an alarm and called the security officer for help. But the youth stabbed the security officer in different parts of the body and fled, leaving the officer in a pool of blood. The acting media spokesman of the Eastern Region Maj. Musa'ed Al-Harthy said that Dhahran police received information of the stabbing of a civil security officer at Dhahran Complex. The police were able to arrest the culprit and the case was referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution. It was later found out that the Saudi youth suffered from psychological problem. He will be referred to the psychological health department for evaluation. — SG
