TAIF — The “Emperor” sheep was placed first when its price reached SR100,000 in the auction of Harri virile sheep in Liyah valley here. However its owner was not satisfied with the price and did not consider selling it. The Al-Zarghi auction received Kingdom-wide interest from Harri owners, after the advertisement of the auction in public squares and the Internet. Around 70 owners participated with 85 virile sheep, and Ahmad Al-Zarghi himself came with 60. Al-Zarghi, a member of the organizing committee, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that 128 virile sheep were sold, ranging in price between SR2,000 to SR10,500. “Walad Merghab” placed second when he was auctioned off at SR10,500.
