JEDDAH –– The highly anticipated, melodramatic reality show of the year ‘Bigg Boss 6' kicked off earlier this month amid lots of glitz and glamor, and speculation of contestants. Among the 14 popular inmates who have been ‘jailed' in the luxurious house of Bigg Boss, without any connection to the outside world, is a ‘so called' common man non-celebrity Kashif Qureshi. Qureshi, who hails from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, was the last contestant to enter Bigg Boss' house. Representing the 1.2 billion “aam janta” (common people) of India, Qureshi has to survive the pressure of living with 13 other high-profile celebrity contestants. Various leading newspapers of India have reported that Qureshi has ties with the host of the show superstar Salman Khan. It has also been reported that Qureshi has choreographed few action stunts for Khan's movie “Wanted”. Brimming with youthful energy, the 30-year-old exudes great confidence and vigor. A martial artist by profession, Qureshi shared a special bond with his father, in whom Qureshi confided his secrets and dreams. After losing his father at the tender age of 17, Qureshi vigorously started training in martial arts alongside pursuing meditation and yoga to overcome his grief and loneliness, which also made him march toward his goal with faith in God. After his father's death, Qureshi became the breadwinner of his family. He took care of his siblings' education and like a responsible brother got his sisters married in good homes. In a nation filled with thousands of martial artists, Qureshi had to overcome numerous obstacles, only to emerge as one of the best martial artists in the nation. Qureshi idolizes Bruce Lee and according to him Lee was not just physically strong, he was also one of the most intelligent men in the world. He also enjoys reading books on religion and philosophy, and is fond of Allama Iqbal's philosophical poetries. Qureshi and Rajeev Paul have been nominated for this week's eviction from the Bigg Boss' house. Vote for Qureshi if you want to see him next week. –– SG
