JADE Goody, the star of reality show `Big Brother' who made an entry into the `Bigg Boss' house as one of the 14 participants two days ago, left the show today due to health reasons. Goody's stay here as part of the ‘Bigg Boss Season 2' was cutshort after her test results indicated possibility of cancer, a statement by Viacom18 channel said. “The results of Goody's test were out (conducted in UK before her departure to India), and indicate possibility of cancer,” the statement said. Goody has been diagnosed with “cancer of the womb” and been withdrawn from the telvision show, a UK-based tabloid reported. Goody received the news yesterday and is flying back to London for treatment, according to a report in ‘The Sun.' She stayed in the ‘Bigg Boss' house for two days and was looking forward to reaching out to millions of Indians through ‘Bigg Boss Season 2' to try and dispel various perceptions that exist in people's mind about her. Shilpa Shetty, the host of ‘Bigg Boss Season 2,' said, “It is unbelievable, how life is so unpredictable and finds a way to distract and derail you from your plans. My prayers are with Jade and her family in this hour.” Madhya Pradesh police will probe links Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi used to bag a role in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss' that is dogged by controversy. Bedi was extradited along with gangster Abu Salem from Portugal in 2005 and lodged as an undertrial in Central Jail here in connection with a fake passport case. Though the Salem's alleged companion was acquitted by the Chief Judicial Magistrate's (CJM) court here and later by the Sessions Court, the prosecution has appealed against her acquittal in the High Court. After Monica's entry into Bigg Boss, the Indian version of British reality TV show ‘Big Brother', police would probe how she got the offer, police sources said today. The sources alleged that Monica was given roles in Hindi films in the past because of underworld pressure. Actor Shilpa Shetty-hosted Bigg Boss, which has 14 participants, is being aired on newly-launched TV channel Colors from August 17. The show's second edition has generated controversy. Last week actor Aamir Khan's brother Faisal Khan filed a case against the organizers for dropping him from the show without assigning any reason. Yesterday, RPI President and Lok Sabha MP Ramdas Athawale alleged he was dropped from the show because he was a Dalit.
