Mobily, Sanofi-Aventis tie up to boost mHealth

RIYADH – Mobily (Etihad Etisalat) and Sanofi-Aventis, the global healthcare leader have announced the launch of Sanofi's device (iBG star) the first blood glucose measuring device via (iPhone, iPad and iPod), which is sold exclusively through Mobily's outlets throughout the Kingdom.
Engaging in this step Mobily will be the first telecommunication in the Middle East to offer in its stores this innovative device as a step in improving it's (mHealth) status in Saudi Arabia, which help the patients controlling and following up on their chronic diseases on a regular bases anywhere, specially the common chronic diseases such as diabetes.
iBG star is a small, discreet device and easy to use; can be plugged to (iPhone, iPad and iPods) to measure the blood glucose level using an app (iBG star Diabetes Manager Application) to record, track and manage the patient's information in an intuitive format, the application is available free of charge in Apple Store.
iBGStar meets today's stringent industry standards for accuracy and features plasma equivalent calibration for assurance with each and every reading as it uses Dynamic Electrochemistry technology.
Mobily said there is no additional service charges as the user will only pay for the device.

Separately, Mobily has signed a partnership agreement with National Technology Group “Mubasher” to launch, “Mobily - Mubasher” NetPlus and Mobile applications (iPhone, Android and Blackberry). “Mobily-Mubasher” enables all subscribers to follow the Saudi stock market “Tadawul” on real time basis, which is a first time service launched by a mobile operator in the Kingdom.
Mobily-Mubasher provides flexibility for those interested in following the Saudi stock market on real time basis. It is considered to be the ideal solution for subscribers who are on constant move and would like to be continually informed of news, announcements and price changes in the stock market, where Mobily-Mubasher provides market's information and inputs instantly during the market openings. – SG
