Khalid Al-Bilahidi Okaz/Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, father of Ahmed who was shot dead at the venue of a drag race in Dammam recently, asked the concerned authorities to enforce the law against his son's killer, who has been identified as Juhaiman. He said he was confident that justice would take its course and his son's blood would not be wasted. He added that the investigations had proved that the culprit was indeed Juhaiman. Al-Ghamdi said there was enough evidence against the suspect to suggest that he had killed his son intentionally. He claimed that some eyewitnesses had testified to this. “We would have appreciated his humanitarian gesture if he had tried to rescue his victim after shooting him unintentionally. Instead he chickened out and ran away, letting him to bleed to death,” said the father. He said the Shariah defines a murderer as one who kills another for no reason or right. He called for the death penalty to be imposed on Juhaiman who killed his son in cold blood. Al-Ghamdi said when he washed his son's body before the funeral prayer, he found the bullet had pierced his left side. The suspect was caught in Riyadh and handed over to the concerned authorities in Dammam to complete necessary procedures for putting him on trial. Ahmed worked as a security officer for a private company in Dammam.
