DOHA — In line with its firm commitment to bring newest top-quality and innovative content to its audiences, Al Jazeera Children's Channel (JCC) will participate at MIPCOM & MIPJunior exhibitions due to be held in Cannes, France, early in the coming week.
A world-class provider of edutainment TV content for Arab children and families, JCC said its permanent presence at such high-profile TV industry events aims to explore new collaboration opportunities with global industry players.
Earlier this year JCC rolled out a new strategy for the coming years to become fully child-centric, while offering a 360 degree media proposition that is loved by children and trusted by parents. JCC'sActing Executive General Manager Haya bint Khalifa Al Nassr, said: “The wide respect the channel enjoys today speaks volumes about its understanding of children's needs and its ability to produce quality programs that meet and exceed audience expectations.”
Television content consumption has significantly increased, and JCC remains committed to meeting viewers' changing demands.
“We offer a carefully-studied mix of fun and entertaining content, along with valuable educational programming. We also adopt an open-minded approach to content selection and constantly look for original entertainment content that inspires minds and touches lives. In doing so, we hope to open up new horizons for children to learn about different cultures and to unlock their potential,” Al Nassr explained.
Acting Director of Channels Saad Al Hudaifi said: “Hubs like MIPCOM and MIPJunior are ideal networking and business platforms to look for the best modern TV content on display by key leaders and content providers, and to showcase the best of our homegrown content.”
This year at MIPCOM and MIPJunior JCC will showcase some of its latest in-house productions including Shams & Rami, Nan & Lili, Power Struggle, and The Flying Saucer. These shows cover a wide array of subjects relevant to young audiences.
Since its inception in 2005, JCC's mission has been to educate, entertain and inspire young minds through top-quality and innovative programming, and cutting-edge and interactive digital platforms and new media tools.
