JEDDAH — The government of Azad Kashmir celebrated the Saudi National Day Wednesday, September 26 at a local restaurant here. The celebrations were held under the supervision of A. Saud Al-Shakehi, Director of Ministry of Culture and Information and Sardar Inayatullah, President, Adviser and Secretary of Azad Kashmir. Al-Shakehi started the ceremony by reciting a few verses from the Qur'an. Inayatullah welcomed the Saudi, Pakistani and Kashmiri guests who eulogized the historical, economic and trade relation of the two countries. Inayatullah thanked Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah, and the royal family for all their support in times of calamity and need. Saudi poets and writers Naji Butaish Essam Al-Ghalib and Fouad Yatbawee, Saudi artists Alshaheer Hani Nazir, Alkadeer Naji Tantawi, Mamdouh Khazare, the leader of the “Thought of Darkness” theater group, and journalists were also acknowledged by Inayatullah for providing support to Kashmir and its government. In attendance were also lawyer Abdulaziz Al Abdali and artist Qadeer Hani Nazer. Khadija Malik, the organizer of the event, said that celebrating Saudi National Day by Pakistan Kashmiri government is a positive step toward strengthening relations between both countries. She said people should appreciate and organize these types of events regularly. She also thanked guests and media personnel for making the event successful.
