Soad Al-Shamarni Okaz/Saudi Gazette RIYADH – A woman who lost her hand and husband in a traffic accident a few months ago in Baljurashi has urged the authorities to transfer her teacher sister from Hafr Al-Batin to Dammam to live with her elderly mother and take care of her children as well.Samirah Al-Ghamdi said her sister's husband sent a letter to the Ministry of Education requesting a transfer for his wife but nothing has been done so far.She urged the concerned authorities to consider her situation and circumstances following the horrific accident.Samirah was discharged from the National Guard Hospital where she gave birth after the Eid Al-Fitr holidays.She now lives with her mother after losing her husband.She demanded the Prince Sultan Center for Organ Transplant fix her a prosthetic arm.She said the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution in Makkah will hold a session Wednesday to look into her case.She will be represented by her husband's brother, who said: “I haven't gotten any details about her rights and compensation.“All I read in the news that the people who were responsible for the accident were released on bail."Al-Ghamdi was pregnant when she lost her husband Abdulrahman Ahmad Nasser Al-Harfi in a terrible car crash a few months ago.Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai'a) had chased the car they were traveling in with their children until it car went off a bridge.Hai'a officials had become involved in an argument with Abdulrahman after they complained about the volume of his car's stereo.When Abdulrahman attempted to leave the scene, the Hai'a pursued his vehicle and attempted to force him to stop.Abdulrahman lost control of the vehicle and it went off a bridge. He died at the scene of the accident and the couple's two children were left badly injured.
