RIYADH — Saudi ambassadors and envoys have welcomed the 82nd anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom, complimented the Saudi people and all peoples of Arab and Islamic countries. They noted the fraternal approach pursued by Saudi Arabia ever since the era of late King Abdul Aziz until the prosperous era of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The ambassadors said King Abdullah was continuing its progressive march to defend rights of Arab and Islamic countries with honesty and sincerity. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awwad Asiri said this year's National Day marks the sensitive phase of political and security developments in the region, which makes it imperative for everyone to stop and think deeply about qualities of wisdom and guidance inherited by King Abdullah who is leading the nation smartly and wisely. He singled out King Abdullah's globally appreciated invitation for dialogue among cultures and religions. In Khartoum, Saudi Ambassador to Sudan, Faisal Bin Hamed Mua'lla congratulated the Saudi leadership and people on the National Day and said it marks the civilized and progressive march of the Kingdom in all spheres. He highlighted the vision of King Abdullah and his courageous initiatives and directives ranging from reforms in education, judiciary and economy through building a knowledge-based society and promoting a global dialogue among followers of different religions. The ambassador hailed the services, facilities and gigantic developments brought about at the two Holy Mosques and other holy sites. He highlighted the Kingdom's big achievements at national, regional and international levels, which gained respect and appreciation of global leaders. In Canberra, Saudi Chargé d'Affaires to Australia and New Zealand Ridha Bin Abdul-Mohsin Al-Nuzha congratulated the Saudi leadership and people on the National Day. He complimented King Abdullah for the Kingdom's numerous achievements and its ongoing comprehensive renaissance, ensuring it a global stature and weightage as well as an effective political, economic and international impact. Fahd Bin Abdul-Mohsen Al-Zaid, Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, recalled the great contributions of the Kingdom's founder King Abdul Aziz and his successors for the nation's growth, progress and prosperity. “They all have been sincerely backed by the current prosperous era of King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman, who are now constantly engaged in the nation-building and ensuring its bright future in all domains,” he said. — SPA
