Riyadh — It was a surprise when Centenciadores team emerged as back-to-back Team of the Week in Game 2 and 3 of the Pinoy Netters ongoing Bayanihan Cup 2012 here. Recently, Centenciadores suffered a humiliating loss on the opening day when it was dispatched by The Intensity 12 but like a true warrior it re-grouped and dumped Ace of Ten 5-1, 47-28 Thursday and upset Team Bigaten 5-1, 42-32 Friday. It was not an easy win against Bigaten, as aside from being focused and determined, the luck was on Centenciadores side when it won all three hotly-contested matches in heart-pumping tie-breaks. B5/B6 players Dodie Vizcarra and Nelson Barcenas beat the feisty duo of Ed Gangat and Jigs Gadiano, 8-7. In B1/B2 categories July Maniacap and Ricky Ortega outwitted the tandem of Willy Nicolas and Jomari Machitar, 8-7. Whereas Rauf Abubandar and Dennis Recio dispatched Voltaire Urdaneta and Ferdinand Liwanag, 8-2. Only Abduljalil and Yunos Ong saved the day for Bigaten when they posted an 8-2 win against Teddy Marpuri and Dante Vidante. In last game, Bigaten's Frank Orias and Rey Javier were one point away of closing the match when Tony Fernandez and Joebert Ang anchored their team to their 2nd Team of the Week honor in as many weeks. They rallied splendidly from behind to close the match at 8-7. On center court, D'Consistence team finally found its form when it trounced D'Lieutenants 4-1 sets, 39-33 game points, the team's first win in two weeks. In the opening round, Adrian San Juan and Hector dela Torre beat Eric Villano and Ed Briagas, 8-6. D'Lieutenants retaliated in second game when Jun Suacito and Alimar Singkay played well throughout and defeated Ed Aves and Francis Lobo, 8-2. In third game, D' Lieutenants secured their last win through Jess Butalid and Jun Baylon who beat Angelito Sikat and Jess Lim, 8-4. Finally Rommel Gomez and Ogile Ralar posted an 8-5 win against Raffy Uy and Serge Ariola. Top Ten team of Ed Sarmiento and Neal Perez continued their quest, leading the team standing after Game 3. Inspired by the result of last week it start its campaign with a win against Tenistang Pinoy 4 sets 42 game points to 2 sets 31 game points. In first game, the C3/C4 pair of Maeng Siojo and Nick Agnes walloped Jhonny Suan and Ismael Taha 8-6. Tenistang Pinoy fought back with a win in second game, courtesy of C5/C6 players Bong Marawid and Edmund Prodenciado, 8-3. In game three, Nick Real and Nabil Mojica, outmaneuvered Jhonny Suan and Bobot Mabini, 8-6. Dante Bautista and Ramil Ancajas outclassed Arly Llunar and Nelson Martirez, 8-3 while Ed Sarmiento and Neal Perez continued their dominance in B1/B2 categories smashing the tandem of Chito Umandal and Romy Penaflor, 8-3. In other games, Extreme Netters of Jun Aguilar defeated Tennis Warriors of Ernan Santiago, 4 sets 40 game points against 2 sets 31 points. Leading team Intensity 12 of Jonathan del Pilar humbled Ace of Ten of Bong Bueta 4 sets 42 game points to 2 sets 31 game points.
