Yasmeen Khalid HOD of English Al Mowhiba International School, Jeddah Somebody has rightly said “learning is a continues or a never ending process.” It not only applies to students but teachers as well. To become a perfectionist, a teacher should know how to present his/her views in front of the students. Toastmasters International has given me an opportunity to improve, organize my thoughts and present them in a presentable manner. After joining the Toastmasters International I feel confident. The positive learning environment and support from the members have not only helped me develop my public speaking skills, but even leadership skills which helped foster our personal growth . It also helped me learn the art of speaking, listening and thinking skills that promoted and enhanced my personality. Unfortunately, what most people don't understand is that the skills learned in mastering public speaking and leadership are core skills needed for dealing with other people. Many people who have labeled themselves ‘introverts' or lack social skills can find Toastmasters to be a fantastic place to rapidly improve their communication skills. I wish to convey a message to all my fellow teachers that behind everything there is a technique Be disciplined and excellence will surely come your way. I am extremely thankful to the management of Al-Mowhiba International School Jeddah for providing me this opportunity to grow professionally.
