RIYADH – A 45-member Saudi trade delegation sponsored by the US Embassy and the Saudi Mining Company (Ma'aden) will leave for the United States this week aimed at highlighting new business opportunities and stronger trade ties between the two countries. The first-ever joint US-Saudi trade mission to “Mine Expo” – the world's largest and most comprehensive exposition dedicated to mining and held every four years – is made up of leading Saudi companies and will target the mining industry. The Saudi delegation will meet with US firms at the Expo, which will showcase equipment, products, services and technologies that serve the global mining industry. The Minister Counselor at the US Embassy in Riyadh, Amer Kayani, said “the Saudi Mining sector is advancing as the third pillar of the Saudi economy at a projected rate of 9 percent and provides an unparalleled opportunity for US companies.” – SG
