Last week Nokia unveiled its new flagship smartphone – the Lumia 920. It offers a PureMotion HD+ display, PureView camera technology, Nokia Maps, Qi wireless charging and runs on Windows Phone 8. The device sounds great. But then in its marketing materials for the Lumia 920, Nokia put out video and photos that were supposedly shot by the smartphone, but turned out to be fake. Now the credibility of the device is impacted before it even reaches the market and instead of celebrating a lovely handset, the company is putting resources into damage control.
