Bangladeshi killed in crossfire

DAMMAM — A Bangladeshi national was killed when a stray bullet hit him after two patrol cars came under fire in Al-Awamiyah town in the Qatif governorate. Police said two police cars were patrolling a side street in Al-Awamiyah when they were fired upon by unidentified assailants. The bullets missed their targets and rained down on two cars coming in the opposite direction, killing one of the drivers instantly. The occupants of the other car and security officers were not harmed. An investigation is under way.
