NEW YORK — Venus and Serena Williams received a wild-card entry into the US Open doubles draw Friday, giving them a chance to play for their 14th career Grand Slam title. The Williams sisters won Wimbledon, then followed with a gold medal at the London Olympics and will now try for their first US Open championship since 2009. Also receiving a wild card was three-time singles champion Kim Clijsters. She's paired with another Belgian, Kirsten Flipkens. NCAA champions Mallory Burdette and Nicole Gibbs got a wild card, as did American Melanie Oudin, who will team with Grace Min. — AP
