JAZAN — Col. Abdullah Bin Mahfooz, spokesman for the Jazan Border Guards, said that officers recently seized a large quantity of firearms and an ammunition cache hidden in an abandoned house. Border Guards officers recovered 56 AK-47 assault rifles and 600 rounds of ammunition. Col. Bin Mahfooz said arms smugglers, active in many pockets of Jazan's bordering districts, often use abandoned houses to hide weapons and ammunition.
