After reading the article “Stopping Israel's extremist settlers” I asked myself: And who is behind these extremists to encourage them? My hunch: it's the fundamentalist evangelical Christians. The Mormon apostle Orson Hyde erected in 1841 on the Mt of Olives an altar and implored God to restore the kingdom unto Israel, raise up Jerusalem as its capital and continue supporting its people as a distinct nation. On the site of the altar a branch of Brigham Young University was built. The Mormon Church is the richest church — in real estate portfolio — in the US. It is the duty of every Mormon to do missionary work for one year after completing high school.
