Civil Defense called in to help transport obese man weighing 375 kg

Medics from the Saudi Red Crescent were unable to lift Hattan Al-Shehri who weighs 375 kilograms by themselves and were assisted by Civil Defense rescuers. — Okaz photo
ABHA — The Abha Obesity Medical Forum put an end to the suffering of a morbidly obese Saudi man who weighed more than 375 kilograms (826 pounds) by arranging for the man to be transported to the hospital. With medics from the Saudi Red Crescent unable to move the man on their own, Civil Defense rescuers were called in to help transport Hattan Al-Shehri to Asir Central Hospital for treatment. The hospital has made necessary arrangements to house Al-Shehri and has even arranged a house near the hospital for his family. — SG
