BUPA Arabia organized a donation drive among its employees to collect clothes and other household items for distribution to orphans and the poor families. The one-week drive exceeded all expectations and collected over 2,000 pieces of clothing, including items for women and men as well as for children, and also toys and home accessories. "This was a pre-Ramadan social activity that captured the hearts and minds of our employees who in the spirit of the Holy Month gave generously and went beyond the call for clothing to provide the kids with toys and the families with useful items of household equipment," said Tal Nazer, CEO of Bupa Arabia. "It was touching to have found that some employees have bought brand new items to donate them. We look forward to making this donation drive an annual event." Another CSR initiative that the company is currently running is providing free medical insurance for orphans registered under the care of the Ministry of Social Affairs. In addition, Bupa Arabia puts the expertise of its specialists at the service of the community by implementing a range of CSR programs including public seminars, and awareness workshops that offer knowledge and advice on topical health and medical subjects. – SG
