JEDDAH – Samsung Electronics, global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, recently held their annual Suhoor function at Campioni sports café in Jeddah with the presence of various members of the press. The event comes in line with the launching of the Olympic Games 2012 in London, whereby Samsung Electronics is a proud worldwide sponsor of the games. Dr. Faisal Al Qahtani from King Abdulaziz University and sports journalist Mounzer Batati who attended the Suhoor, shared their extraordinary experience during the torch relay last month. The Olympic Games were projected live during the event, with special highlight on Samsung's largest TV screen a 75 inches, that has arrived to Saudi Arabia. Jae Cheon Park, General Manager of Samsung Electronics, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, handed valuable prizes to winners in a raffle draw. Park underscored the importance of the Kingdom's participation in the London Olympics and said "Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia is proud of the continuous social events that it conducts in order to maintain a strong relationship between media and management, to exchange and track the new happenings within our markets." He added "this year, the holy month of Ramadan coincided with the start of the Olympic Games 2012, over 10,000 competing athletes from 204 nations worldwide and more than 1 billion viewers of the opening ceremony- and this is where we all come together under one roof to observe the spiritual season of the holy month, in addition to viewing the most exciting games in history." – SG
