Okaz/Saudi Gazette MAHAYEL ASIR – The relatives and families of 13 security officers who died as martyrs on duty expressed their thanks to Prince Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Interior, for his kind gesture. The minister presented the relatives and families with Eid Al-Fitr gifts as a way to show that the country still recognizes the heroic acts of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. Alwah Fayeh's mother is 67 years old. She lost her son two years ago while he was on duty. She said despite her grief, she is proud that her son was a hero and died in defense of this country. “My only solace is that my son and his colleagues sacrificed their lives for this precious land.” Hassan Asiri, whose brother also died a martyr's death, expressed his gratitude for the government's support. “This shows the strong relationship between the people and the leadership.” The relatives thanked King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minster and Defense Minister and the Interior Minister for their kind gifts.
