Dodgers get Victorino in trade with Phillies

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Dodgers added some punch to their line-up for the stretch drive by acquiring former All-Star and Gold Glove-winning outfielder Shane Victorino from the Philadelphia Phillies, the Major League Baseball teams said Tuesday. Los Angeles, tied for top spot in the National League West, sent right-handed reliever Josh Lindblom, minor league right-hander Ethan Martin and a player to be named later or cash considerations to the Phillies. The transaction was the latest move by the Dodgers ahead of the trade deadline, having acquired three-time All-Star infielder Hanley Ramirez from the Miami Marlins last week. — Reuters
