The winner started a sour first quarter, 23-26, but managed to reverse the scenario in their favor by halftime, 50-44. The margin stretched in the third quarter to 18 points (74-56) thanks to the heroics of De Leon and Calma. They proved their shooting prowess with 26 and 25 points, respectively. The team of coach Rizaldy Datu banked on the third canto explosion of 18 points to secure a convincing win. Rojas poured in 24 pints for the losing side. Calabatan added 17 and Manalac 15. In another Inter-Department Selection outing, Jamed managed to snatch its first win against home-court rival Maybach in a come-from-behind victory, 90-86. Maybach had the momentum up to the third quarter, but lost its advantage due to the defensive tactics employed by Jamed's top guns de Villa, Quizon and Fernando. KFAD also registered its first victory at the expense of Saudi Lebanese Tarouk, 105-94. Cordero (24) and Gocela (20) were the highest scorers of the game. Petromin of Coach Norbe Guineta also bagged its first win over Al-Hukaime 76-60 after two outings. Saudi Ericsson also came strong and walked home with another victory, 115-86, against Pizza Inn. Al-Hokair leads the team standings after four weeks of action in the Inter-company division with a 2-0 win-loss record. Pizza Inn also had a 2 win-1 loss record after a heartbreaker from Saudi Ericsson, which debuted at their expense. Saudi Ericsson secured a 1-0 win-loss record which it shares with KAFD and Panda. Petromin had a 1-1 record, while Coffee Essence had 1-2 win-loss record. Saudi Lebanese Tarouk and Al-Hukaime stayed in the bottom with 0-2 win-loss record. In the Inter-Automotive Selection, JACO dominated the scoresheet at 3-0 win-loss record to which Shane Lottering, the big boss of Benz Cars Division was happy for the excellent work of his team. United Motors came second at 1-0 record while Al-Jomai had an even 1-1 record. Jaguar (Land Rover) and Samaco were down the ladder at 0-2 win loss records. Saudi Ericsson and Al-Wahlan share a 1-0 win-loss record in the Inter-Department Selection, while Jamed and Maybach had the same 1-1 record. The event is hosted by E.A.
