TABUK – Based on a tipoff sent by Tabuk Police, Jordanian police are looking for the drug dealer who killed Badar Al-Rashidi, an agent of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency in Tabuk. Al-Rashidi was shot in his left eye last week by the dealer. Lt. Col. Muhammad Al-Khateeb, spokesman for Jordan's Public Security Directorate, said there has been constant coordination between the security directorates in both countries to catch the killer. He promised to arrest the killer in the next few days. The murderer crossed the Jordanian borders in the north, according to information received by Saudi security officers. He was hidden inside a car driven by a group of people who were trying to sneak him out of the Kingdom. When officers became suspicious of the group, the killer jumped out of the car and ran across the border to the Jordanian side. Tabuk Police contacted Jordanian security forces immediately and reported the killer to them. Meanwhile, sources said that there are signs of an breakthrough in the case of Abdullah Al-Khalidi, the Saudi consul who was kidnapped by Al-Qaeda in Aden four months ago. Al-Khalidi might be released very soon, the sources added without giving more details about how and where he would be released.
