SEOUL — A South Korean man claims his dog has given birth to an animal which resembles a kitten in both its sound and appearance. Jeong Pyong-bong revealed his pooch has produced an animal which resembles a baby cat and he says the newborn even sounds like a feline as well. He said: “It is unbelievable. People from all over the town are coming over after hearing the news.'' While the 63-year-old man believes his dog got pregnant when it walked around town last year, experts have dismissed the possibility of a dog giving birth to a cat saying it is theoretically “impossible''. Professor Son Chang-ho of Chonnam National University's College of Veterinary medicine said: “The number and trait of chromosomes in Canines and felines are completely different. It is possible that [the animal] is a puppy that looks like a kitten.'' — Agencies
