DAMASCUS — Syrian actress/screenwriter Amal Arafah said her new comic TV series “Rafat Ein” (Blink of an Eye), due to be aired this Ramadan, will have viewers in stitches. It tells the story of a group of individuals who have been cast aside by society and put in funny and tragic situations. Arafah plays the role of a woman who was born to an alcoholic father and abused mother. She lives with her brother and both look for a better future. The series stars Saloom Hadad and Salma Al-Masry. — SG
