GPYW orders to stop swimming activities

RIYADH – Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal Bin Fahd, President of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare, has issued an immediate decision to stop all swimming activities in all swimming pools of sports facilities including clubs and sports halls in the wake of several accidents. Fahd Al-Duwaish, Undersecretary of the Presidency for Youth Welfare, said in order to safeguard the lives of swimmers, Prince Nawaf has issued directives that representatives of the Saudi Swimming Federation, the Technical Affairs and Sports Affairs agencies and the Presidency offices ensure the safety regulations and standards implemented soon. – SG/SPA
