Qurayyat police issues firearms warning

QURAYYAT — Qurayyat police issued a warning against the use of firearms during weddings. Celebratory gunfire often causes injuries and in many cases, death, when stray bullets hit guests or people in surrounding buildings. Police told wedding hall owners to force anyone renting a wedding hall to sign a document promising not to permit the use of firearms at the venue. — SG
