JEDDAH — Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, continues his annual inspection trip to the region's governorates on Monday when he will visit Qunfuda and Al-Laith governorates. He will be briefed on the progress of development projects there. He will also preside over the local meetings of the municipal councils. At Qunfuda, Prince Khaled is scheduled to meet with notable tribal chiefs and directors of government departments. He will listen to the demands and needs of Qunfuda residents. He will also inspect a drainage project, a university city project and look into demands calling for a passport department office for issuing and renewing Saudi passports to be established there. He will then go to Al-Laith Governorate and listen to the needs of its residents which include expediting a seaport project, setting up a drainage network and opening new specializations in the field of higher education. Sultan Al-Dawsary, director of studies and public relations, Makkah Emirate, said his visit to both governorates will mark the conclusion of Prince Khaled's annual visits which started in Taif Governorate. During these annual visits, the Emir of Makkah Region travels 3,000 kilometers by car from one governorate to another, Al-Dawsary added.
