MADINAH — King Fahad Hospital in Madinah terminated the contract of an Arab doctor accused of attempted sexual assault against two Saudi nurses and a patient. The hospital's management confirmed the incident saying that they immediately started an investigation and enough evidence was brought up against the doctor. The doctor's contract was immediately terminated and his license to practice in the Kingdom has been revoked.
Sources said that the hospital administration had received complaints from two Saudi nurses accusing the doctor of attempted sexual assault. In one of the complaints, the nurse said that the doctor asked her to bring a file to his office. When she brought it to his office, he rushed to close the doors and tried to force himself on her. The nurse resisted and managed to push him away and left the room. He ran after her telling her not to report the incident. He told her that he liked her and asked her not to make a big issue out of it. She immediately went to police and reported the incident. The second nurse reported that the same doctor tried to grope her in the emergency stairwell area. He later sent her suggestive SMS messages. She reported the incident to the hospital's administration.
Authorities later learned the doctor had a history of sexually harassing female patients. According to hospital records, the doctor tried to molest a patient after he had finished examining her. The patient told her brothers who filed an official complaint. The doctor denied the charges and claimed the patient was severely medicated and was not sure of what she was talking about.
