Despite their coach's disappointment, the B-Meg Llamados scored their third straight win and a share of second spot in the standings, repulsing the Meralco Bolts, 88-83, Wednesday night in Quezon City in the 2012 PBA Governors Cup. The Bolts suffered their third straight loss as they tied the Alaska Aces and the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters at the bottom of the standings, all with a 1-3 win-loss record. “I'm happy that we won, but not pleased with our performance,” B-Meg coach Tim Cone admitted after the game. “This is the first game where we showed our championship hangover,” he added. B-Meg won the last PBA Commissioner's Cup, beating Talk ‘N Text in seven games. Marc Pingris led the Llamados Wednesday night, recording a double-double performance with 10 points and 11 rebounds and coming up with big plays in the homestretch. Pingris scored his team's last seven points, including five of six free throws in the final 1:23 of the game, helping his team ward off a gritty Meralco squad led by Mac Cardona who tallied 27 points. Cardona's heads up plays made up for the lackluster game of Meralco import Champ Oguchi who finished with only 12 points, missing all his 10 attempts from beyond the arc in what was expected to be his last game for the Bolts. After averaging 28.3 points in 11 games during last year's Commissioner's and Governors Cups, Oguchi has gone on a scoring slump. __
