The training given to the judges allows them rule over civil status, commercial and labor cases. The majority of the judges who took part in the training have been working in the Kingdom's judicial system for at least 10 years and the training made them aware of the latest developments in modern judicial systems. The training was in line with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah's wishes to reform the judiciary. The new system of penal courts will see five new penal, labor, commercial and civil status courts. Over 28 judges who have already received training in the new penal court system will soon be assigned to work in the new courts in different parts in the Kingdom. The new courts will replace all district courts. The Ministry of Justice and the Higher Judiciary Institute have signed an agreement for the training of judges, public notaries and their assistants.
