Smuggler of forged currency arrested

Customs officials at King Abdulaziz International Airport recently foiled an attempt to smuggle forged Saudi riyal bills into the Kingdom, a local daily reported. The female passenger tried to hide more than SR250,000 in forged 500-riyal notes. The diligence of custom officials enabled them to foil the smuggling attempt. Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, head of King Abdulaziz International Airport's Custom Department, urged all his officials to be on high alert.
