A Saudi student escaped death after his car crashed into a camel that had ventured onto the road in Truba, south of Taif. The student only suffered minor injuries but the camel died on the spot. According to the Traffic Department, the stray camel was feeding on grass on the side of the road when it suddenly attempted to cross the road just as the car was approaching. Police have urged camel owners to keep their livestock away from the city and roads and warned that stray camels will be seized and the owner fined.
