Saudi XI thrashed Dopco Stars by six wickets in their semifinal match here to set up Dopco Premier Cup final against Crown Steel. Al-Mazroi XI, meanwhile, beat Rayyan Khan and Hala Academy White downed Mercedes Benz in the quarterfinals of the Morning tournament, which is organized by the Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) and sponsored by Dopco Company. Dopco Stars, opting to bat first, lost wickets at regular intervals to be bundled out for 247 in the 37th over as Afzal Saleem took four wickets in four overs for just 13 runs. Earlier Riyaz Mohammed Khan hit 50 off 61 balls, Shahbaz 37, Maqsood 39, Usman 34 and Hashim 28. Sarafraz took 2-49 as Abdullah Aamir, Nadeem Saad and Dr. Aamir bagged a wicket each. Chasing the moderate target, Al-Saudi raced to 106 off 72 balls, thanks to a cameo by Nadeem Saad, who hit 82 off 49 balls (11 fours and a six). Later Afazal Saleem hit an unbeaten 68 in 74 balls, Nadeem Javed made 27 and Sarfaraz remained not out on 20 as the team reached the winning target of 248 for the loss of four wickets. Ajmal Khan took 2-50, while Khurram and Mehboob claimed a wicket each. The win put Al-Saudi in the final, where it will meet Crown Steel which had already advanced beating My Care and Hala in the first semifinal. In the Morning quarterfinals Mercedes Benz put on 175-5 in 18 overs against Hala Academy White. Jibran made 45, Shafeeq 32 and Ilyas 26. Adil had figures of 2-39 as Sohail and Saqlain bagged a victim each. Hala Academy White took just 95 balls to reach the target (176-2), thanks to a quick-fire unbeaten knock of 101 by skipper Furqan. Janzeb made 29, while Abdul Moeed remained not out on 18. Osama and Sohail claimed a wicket each. The other quarterfinal saw Rayyan Khan take the strike first against Al-Mazroi. It scored 171-9 as opener Qayyum made 51, Hanzeb 28 and Tahir 24. Laiq Gondhlekar grabbed 4-10 in two overs, while Faisal, Faizan and Farooq took a wicket each. Al-Mazroi chased down the required 172 runs for the loss of five wickets with Sufiyan Laheri plundering 111 in 53 balls and Faisal making 29. Rafiq took 3-24, while Hanzeb and Ayyub claimed a wicket each. __
