By Umar Abdul Salam Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Wehdah secured a berth in the semifinals of the 18th Saudi Basketball Federation playoffs beating Fath 82-78 at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports Complex here Tuesday. The exciting game saw 11 lead changes in the second half. The second win sent Wehdah to the top of its group. Fath now faces Ahli in a do-or-die match Wednesday with the winner advancing to Thursday's semifinals. The other match of the evening saw Ansar beat Ohud 75-64 to keep its semis hopes alive. Ittihad will be in action against Ohud Wednesday with one win under its belt. Another win will put it in on top in its group. On Monday, Wehdah kicked off the playoffs beating Ahli 74-65. Ahli finished the first period just ahead 17-16. The game slowed down from then onward and was tied 29-29 at the halfway mark. Over the next two quarters Wehdah picked up the pace, led by its imports who combined for 45 points — Hamdi Braa 25 and Tyler Amaya 20. Saleh Tahroni added 17 points.
