Cincinnati batted around in the first inning and cruised to a 9-4 win over the Chicago Cubs Friday for the 10,000th win in franchise history. Harsh winds and chilly temperatures didn't slow down Cincinnati's offense as Drew Stubbs drove in three runs for the Reds, who joined the Cubs, Giants, Dodgers, Braves and Cardinals as the only teams to reach the 10,000 win plateau. The Cubs dropped their sixth straight and fell to 3-11 on the year. Chris Volstad (0-2) labored through a four-run, 41-pitch first inning.Volstad gave up six runs — five earned — on seven hits over five innings. Homer Bailey (1-2) pitched seven solid innings for his first victory of the year. He allowed four runs, but only one was earned. Cardinals 4, Pirates 1: Lance Lynn allowed only an inside-the-park homer to Alex Presley in seven innings, leading the St. Louis to a victory over the Pirates. Presley led off the bottom of the first with a drive off the top of the center field fence, the ball just eluding a leaping center fielder Skip Schumaker. It was just the Pirates' second inside-the-parker at PNC Park since it opened in 2001. Filling in nicely for injured ace Chris Carpenter, Lynn (3-0) gave up four hits. He walked one and struck out four. Lynn also scored the go-ahead run on Carlos Beltran's two-out single in the fifth inning off Charlie Morton (0-1). Phillies 4, Padres 1: Juan Pierre hit a go-ahead, two-run single in the seventh inning to back Cole Hamels, and Philadelphia beat San Diego for its 13th straight victory at Petco Park. Hamels (2-1) improved to 7-2 with a 2.22 ERA in 12 career starts against his hometown Padres. In his last four starts against San Diego, he's 4-0 with a 0.60 ERA. Shane Victorino hit a solo home run in the eighth. Hamels gave up one run and six hits in six innings. Edinson Volquez (0-2) held Philadelphia to two hits through six scoreless innings before allowing three straight singles to open the seventh. Andrew Cashner relieved and allowed Brian Schneider's tying RBI single. With one out, Pierre singled to right to score Ty Wigginton and Freddy Galvis. Jonathan Paplebon pitched the ninth for his fifth save in five chances. The Padres haven't beaten the Phillies in San Diego since Aug. 16, 2008. Overall, the Phillies are 24-4 at Petco Park since it opened in 2004. Braves 9, Diamondbacks 1: Brian McCann hit a two-run homer, Freddie Freeman had a pair of RBI doubles and Atlanta routed Arizona for the second game in a row. Nationals 2, Marlins 0: Ross Detwiler and three relievers combined on a four-hitter, Rick Ankiel homered and had three hits and the Nationals beat Miami. Giants 4, Mets 3, 10 Innings: Hector Sanchez hit a go-ahead single in the 10th inning off Frank Francisco (0-1), and San Francisco came back after blowing the lead in the ninth and just hung on to beat the Mets. Dodgers 3, Astros 1: Matt Kemp homered again, one of his three hits, and drove in two runs to lead theDodgers to a win over the Astros. Rockies 4, Brewers 3: Michael Cuddyer hit a tiebreaking RBI single off closer John Axford (0-1) in the ninth inning, and the Colorado Rockies held on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers.
