Brewers 8, Nationals 3: At Milwaukee, Casey McGehee and Rickie Weeks homered and as the home team scored five unearned runs off starter Ross Detwiler in beating Washington to complete a three-game sweep. Dodgers 1, Mets 0: At Los Angeles, Clayton Kershaw scattered seven hits over eight innings in his first start since appealing a five-game suspension and Russell Martin hit a late RBI double in the Dodgers' victory over the punchless Mets. Cardinals 4, Cubs 3, 11 innings: At Chicago, Felipe Lopez hit a tiebreaking solo homer to help the Cardinals beat the Cubs and avoid a weekend sweep.
