A large number of young female graduates aspiring to go abroad for higher studies were among the participants of the International Exhibition of Higher Education held in Riyadh recently. The pavilion of the American universities was the most crowded. Saudi graduates of US universities explained to interested students the procedures for applying to American universities. Malaysian, Canadian and British pavilions also saw a large number of interested students. But the pavilions of most Arabic universities did not receive many interested students. Dr. Faisal Al-Qahtani, an exhibition official, said: “We made sure this year that only universities offering specializations required in the Saudi market were participating. Only prestigious universities are taking part in this exhibition.” __
