A total of 96 female cleaners had to be evacuated after a fire gutted their building in Makkah's Al-Shasha District, said Brigadier Jamil Arbaeen, Director of the Civil Defense in Makkah. Five firefighting teams had to be brought in to get the fire under control. He said four workers sustained light burns and one suffered from smoke inhalation. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire. He urged landlords to contact the Civil Defense to get safety permits. __
